Silver Goodier, L.M.T. Licensed Massage Therapist I have a deep love for massage and am amazed by the power it has to
heal and improve lives. Humbled by the wisdom of our bodies, I treat
my practice as a healing art and a continuous chance to learn.
I trained in deep tissue, sports, prenatal, Eastern and Western
modalities at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in New York and am
further certified in Active Release Technique® (ART®) for soft tissue
pain management and Reiki III. I integrate these techniques to tailor
each session to your needs. You should leave feeling deeply relaxed
yet energized.
More about my work:
Swedish, deep tissue, connective tissue, trigger point, neuromuscular,
myofascial release, and ART® are useful tools to relieve painful or
frequent tension in muscle and connective tissue and improve
circulation. I employ these Western techniques to address specific
areas of the body, like that big knot between your shoulder blades or
the pain shooting down your leg.
We all experience times when we feel "off" or out of touch, making us
susceptible to stress, which could lead to disease. Eastern therapies
like shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology, and Reiki seek to remove
blocks along the body's energy channels (meridians) in order to
achieve proper balance in the body and mind. I incorporate
acupressure points, stretches, gentle movements and holds to improve
the flow of energy in your body during the session. This moves you
toward a healthy balance that supports your immune system and achieves
calm.
My intuitive sense of touch comes from a lifelong experience with
massage and a formal education in human anatomy, while my style of
flow is cultivated by a reverence for the energy systems of the body.
"Let the beauty we love be what we do." ~Rumi
